Dr. Deborah Frankowski, M.D. joins CCAT staff as full-time medical director

The Center for Chemical Addictions Treatment (CCAT) is pleased to announce Dr. Deborah Frankowski, M.D. has been named the agency’s first full-time Medical Director.  Dr. Frankowski is board certified in addiction medicine and brings her expertise in evidence-based best practice treatment to CCAT’s 1,500 patients per year.

Expanded medical leadership is critical to our mission

Over its 44 year history, CCAT has been very fortunate to have had talented and dedicated part-time physicians providing patient care and medical leadership to the agency.  However, according to the agency’s President/CEO, Sandra L. Kuehn, “The expanded role of a full-time medical director is recognition by our Board of Trustees that CCAT plays a unique and pivotal role in the system of addiction treatment in the Greater Cincinnati area.  Expanded medical leadership is critical to our mission to Save Lives and Rebuild Families by providing recovery tools.”

A graduate of The Ohio State University, Dr. Frankowski brings 16 years’ experience in private practice as well as a fellowship in addiction medicine and research at the VA in Cincinnati.  Frankowski also serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry-Affiliated at the University of Cincinnati and holds a SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) Buprenorphine prescribing waiver.
