During inpatient detoxification, patients remain at the CAT facility. A typical stay is three to seven days. The effects of each drug are different, however, and withdrawal symptoms vary among individuals. CAT's Detox Program can be completed alone or in combination with our other programs, such as CAT’s Medication-Assisted Treatment or Short-Term Residential Treatment. After completing detoxification, the patient is introduced to recovery options and receives assistance through personalized case management as he or she moves toward lifelong recovery.
During this time, our professional, 24-hour medical staff is always on hand to recognize and quickly respond to the patient’s needs throughout the process. Patients are closely monitored by a nurse and have access to a physician.
